We've (the Valley) had some major talent leave the league of late, Nic Moore, Rayvonte Rice, now this guy off the top of my head. Good for us, but bad for those programs and the Valley. We need guys like this to help make the Valley better. Too bad.

Not likely that he's graduating in three years so he'll have to sit out one year to play one year.
I'm sure there was a lot of behind the scene things going on that we never heard about but I think this is too bad for the Valley from a talent perspective.Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Sometimes you give a dog too much leash and before you know it they are walking you. Next thing you know they are pissing on you in front of the other dogs. Now the other dogs know who is running the show and you gotta problem. Then that dog leaves to play basketball at another school and you get fired from your dog walking gig. That kinda fell apart there at the end, but you get the point.“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”

Screw "tough it out." You only live once and you only have one shot at a college career. Do it somewhere you want to be.The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Strange as it may sound, I think WSU's trip to Springfield may be a little tougher if MM is gone.

It's long been my opinion (since the Hinson days at MSU) that with what MSU pays BB coaches, they have to gamble with hiring assistants with no head coaching experience. That's going to result in either 1) Hiring a winner who leaves at the first possible moment, or 2) Hiring a loser that they have to fire and eat a contract they can't afford.
Losing Marshall at this point seems to be a plus for MSU. That's on Lusk. Lusk either didn't thoroughly evaluate Marshall, didn't lay out what was required before signing Marshall, or lost him after he was signed.
Marshall's attitude seems to be locker room and practice poison.
Someone once asked a college coach what it was like coaching a college basketball team. He answered (roughly),"What do you think it's like watching a bunch of 18-year-olds running up and down the court with your paycheck in their pockets?"
There's a really fine line between recruiting risks a coach can handle that will make him a winner and recruiting risks a coach can't handle that will make him an insurance salesman. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
